IT’S NEW CHANTELLE FAISON HAD AN IDEA FOR HEALTHY COOKING AND SHE NOW IS IN AN INCUBATOR PROGRAM TO HELP HER WITH HER CONCEPT THE RAINBOW VELVET CAFE, THE INCUBATOR PROGRAM HAS TRULY ELEVATED ME TO PUSH MYSELF BEFORE I ENTERED THIS PROGRAM. I DIDN’T HAVE MY BUSINESS NAME NOW. I HAVE A BUSINESS NAME A BRAND SO IT HAS END UP A LOT OF DOORS FOR MY FAMILY AND I THE PROGRAM IS THROUGH THE CITY OF STOCKTON AND IT OFFERS SKILLS SUPPORT AND BUSINESS EXPERTISE TO MAKE THE IDEA A SUCCESS. AND MY GOAL IS TO CREATE A DIVERSE UNITY BY BRINGING PEOPLE CONNECTING PEOPLE TO GREAT FOOD WHEN PEOPLE HAVE GOOD FOOD. THEY’RE IN A GOOD MOOD AND THE FOOD HERE IS UNIQUE WITH MANY RECIPES FAMILY FAVORITES WITH A HEALTHY TWIST. I SEE THAT THE WORLD IS MOVING TOWARDS VEGANISM. SO I HAVE LOT OF VEGETARIAN INSPIRED CUISINES AVAILABLE. I’M A DIABETIC MYSELF. SO A LOT OF TIMES WE GO OUT AND THERE’S NOTHING AVAILABLE FOR DIABETICS AND AFTER OFFERING TAKEOUT FOOD FOR A MONTH THE IDEA OF HEALTHY SOUL FOOD HAS CAUGHT ON PARTICULARLY IF PEOPLE OF COLOR BUT LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE ISSUES WITH SUGAR WITH DIABETES AND AND CONSUMING TOO MUCH SODIUM. SO SHE’S VERY CONSCIENTIOUS ABOUT THAT IN HER FOOD IF THE HEALTHY SOUL FOOD IF YOU NOTICE IN HER FOOD, SHE HAS A LOT OF GREEN VEGETABLES, YOU KNOW, SHE HAS A LOT OF COLOR. THERE WILL BE OTHER CHEFS COME IN AND COOKING THIS COMMUNITY KITCHEN LOCATED DOWNTOWN WITH THE HOPE OF MOVING ON AND OPENING A STOREFRONT.
