The Durian Bakery Review: Joy In Every Bite

One of the cakes that caught my eye on their website is the Dark Chocolate Fudge Drip Cake with Mao Shan Wang (MSW) Core. Chocolate and durian? How will these two rich and decadent ingredients pair with each other? Very well I must say. I give it two thumbs up!

You can smell the sweet durian aroma as soon as you receive the cake so you know it is a durian cake. The proportions of dark chocolate and durian core were balanced so well that every bite is a “match made in heaven”.

This cake is meant to be shared.  My fellow durian lovers sing praises about this cake and every one of them loves it. I will order this cake again in a heartbeat.

If you want a single portion, try the Dark Choco Musang King Mousse ($20). With every mouth, you could taste the natural bitter-sweetness of their signature SilkyGold™ Durian Puree topped with the sinfully rich dark chocolate.

I will also recommend that you try their signature delicious Super Burst MSW Giant Puffs! Lush, decadent durian puree is bursting from the light airy choux puffs. Each puff guarantees tremendous satisfaction to your durian cravings. There are 8 pieces per box ($58.90).

Other Patisseries that are a must-try include the Snowy D24 Durian Mochi ($15) – 6 pieces per box and  MSW Durian Fruit Tarts ($24.80) for 6pieces of the MSW Royal Pudding ($36) – box of 5 cups.
